The WholeValue model looks at your work or business using three lenses - the telephoto zooms in on the value of your products and services; the portrait focuses on the value we gain as individuals and by working as a team; the wide angle lens takes in all the wider value and impact our work has.

Using these three lenses we can view six focal points of value generation:

Whole Value Workshops were developed by Andrew Baughen as part of a major research project into Soulful Enterprise at Bayes Business School in London.

Andrew Baughen studied business finance as an undergraduate at City of London Polytechnic and began his career as a management consultant at Coopers & Lybrand and OC&C specialising in marketing and strategy advice to financial services institutions.

He then studied theology at Oxford University and became the Vicar of Saint James Clerkenwell where he started the School of Faith. He has written two books on strategy and completed an Executive MBA programme at Bayes Business School (formerly Cass).

Andrew continues to work in the “theotech” sector researching the difference between soul-full and soul-less organisations and how worldview shapes the way we see our work and make ethical decisions. He has created a tool that maps the wide range of value generated by a business (wholevalue.org) and writes about the wider value of our work and how our view of the world shapes the way we live and work in the world (soulfulenterprise.org).

His latest book is called A Life’s Work. How to find meaningful value in everyday work. In this book he gives a wider vision of value and how that is the key to use knowing our purpose in work that is making a difference.

He is an Honorary Visiting Fellow and a Visiting Lecturer at Bayes Business School. He lectures on business ethics and is currently developing a series of Soul Factor talks by business leaders exploring how they work with heart, mind and soul (soulfactor.org).

Andrew is married to Rachel, and they have two daughters and three grandchildren. He enjoys cycling, photography and eating dessert.
